Scattered, tattered, weathered and worn my limbs reveal the strain
This body has traveled thousands of miles for what seems to be in vain
These eyes have witnessed the rise of humanity and the painful deceit
It slips through my fingers, as it means absolutely nothing to me
You are all I foresee in a future full of nameless trials and tribulations
You are the captain, the leader of this solitude our undisclosed location
We wait and watch it all fall down, the volcano erupts with such force
We remain intact; never steering from our path we follow our course
I lost you momentarily because of my pride, the mistake all my own
I hold onto with you with an unrelenting grip, how could I have known?
Your every hope and desire has solely consisted of us all along
You held my heart in the palm of your hand, somehow I belong.
