Forest of my mind.

posted by Michelle in Poems

Happiness a two way street, it makes the decisions of our souls.
It leads us to the Promise Land, no more real life, no flights no tolls.

Touching, actually feeling every color, every breath of fresh air.
Momentarily I long for reality, but this is my sanctuary, I have no cares

I walk across the gentle plains, they are deep and rich and green.
I am in awe of this site, such perfection rarely seen.

I melt in the presence of the clear blue skies, I frolic beneath the sun
In the distance a figure appear, beckoning me to come

In an instant I recognize this beauty, his face ingrained in my mind
I cannot look away as it is glorious, so gentle so kind

I trace every curve every line, as though to always remember
I want to remain with you, I am yours I surrender

I hold on to every second as I reach your outstretched arms
I am free at last welded into you by your infinite charm

You have touched me in every way, body, mind, and being
I have never stopped loving you, I will never stop believing

Known

posted by Michelle in Poems

Intoxicated with being in your presence, my cup is full to the brim

As it’s contents spill to the floor, I scramble to recover each of them

The taste as it slides down my throat, It desolves into heavenly bliss

Those lips they hold the key to eternity, the ultimate fruitful kiss

I close my eyes momentarily, immediately those mysterious eyes appear

They unrelentingly hold my gaze, but there is no real need to fear

The light blinds me to the realization of this pure love, this undying fate

How can I make you understand? Before is has become too late

We belong together among the stars, the constillations burn so bright

Effortlessly we merge into one supreme being, destined to take flight

I let my inhabitions control me no longer, I give my full heart and soul

I trust your every decision, I allow you complete control

I cannot begin to accurately describe this love so true, so flawless, so real

I hold that hand, stare into those eyes so many more moments to steal

Remain with me through this long haul, believing is all we truely own

I will take every opportunity to make my love for you known

Scattered, tattered, weathered and worn my limbs reveal the strain

This body has traveled thousands of miles for what seems to be in vain

These eyes have witnessed the rise of humanity and the painful deceit

It slips through my fingers, as it means absolutely nothing to me

You are all I foresee in a future full of nameless trials and tribulations

You are the captain, the leader of this solitude our undisclosed location

We wait and watch it all fall down, the volcano erupts with such force

We remain intact; never steering from our path we follow our course

I lost you momentarily because of my pride, the mistake all my own

I hold onto with you with an unrelenting grip, how could I have known?

Your every hope and desire has solely consisted of us all along

You held my heart in the palm of your hand, somehow I belong.
